The former city hall is located in the town centre, in the market place. The renaissance building is now home to the Museum of Art, showing alternatively various municipal collections of painting and sculpture.

e Richard Wagner Museum is located in his house called "Wahnfried”. The museum pieces tell the story of the composer's life and work, as well as the
history of the Wagner's Festival.
Currently the Richard Wagner Museum is closed due to renovation. The museum will be reopened in the year 2013, when the 200 years anniversary of Richard Wagner will be celebrated.

Museum is dedicated to the life and works of the famous pianist and composer Franz Liszt. The museum tell also about connections between Fran Liszt and Richard Wagner, who married Liszt's daughter - Cosima.
